Applications Engineer

Your role with us:

As an Applications Engineer for Syntakt Packaging Integration, you will work closely with our Sales Team and customers to transform the customer’s vision into reality by providing technical system details while keeping Syntakt’s solutions highly competitive. You will determine the configuration of complex Engineered Systems, prepare the supporting data for proposals, and travel with our Sales team as a technical liaison, participating in both live and online meetings to clarify concepts for customers and assist in closing business.

Does this sound like you?

You have advanced technical skills.  You have experience in the design and presentation of complete end-of-line secondary packaging equipment systems and proposals. Engineering, controls, robotics, system throughput, material handling, and systems integration are all in your personal toolkit.

You are a strong communicator.  Technical skills? Check. Can you also explain concepts to customers in a way that gives them a clear understanding of the system and demonstrate the value of our products? Strong communication skills are critical to this role.

How you will contribute to our growth:

  • By working alongside our Sales team as a technical liaison to close business, you will be growing our Customer base.

  • Maintain engineered systems library and product portfolios

What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in an Engineering related field
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering, controls, robotics, system throughput, material handling, and systems integration
  • Experience in the design and presentation of complete end-of-line secondary packaging systems/proposals that may include robotic case and carton loading, palletizing equipment as well as multiple OEM specified pieces of equipment such as stretch wrappers, conveyors, metal detectors and coding machinery, etc.
  • Experience in product handling methodologies and concepts
  • Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD for purpose of solution layouts
  • Training and proficiency in robotic simulations tools
  • Proficient in Allen-Bradley controls systems is a plus

Controls Engineer

Your role with us:

As a Controls Engineer for Syntakt Packaging Integration, you will design and develop all aspects of electrical control systems for end-of-line packaging machinery. You may be responsible for the installation and technical support of servo and PLC based hardware and software. You will prepare detailed designs based on written specifications of desired machinery function, troubleshoot problem and provide engineering support for the product lifecycle, and support Sales, Project Management, and Manufacturing as required.

You have advanced technical skills. You are skilled in the programming and troubleshooting of robots. You can generate and validate concepts, design, and coordinate projects. Panel designs, wiring schematics, and instrumentation layouts are a breeze for you.

You are a strong communicator. Technical skills? Check. You can also clearly explain technical concepts to any audience, from the customer to the machine technicians.

You can navigate through change and are up for travel. You see change as an opportunity to improve rather than an obstacle to overcome. You can modify solutions to quickly adapt to customer requests. You are willing to travel to customer sites up to 25% of the time to provide field support.

  • 3+ years of robotic integration experience
  • Robot programming and troubleshooting experience. Fanuc is a plus
  • RIA and electrical code knowledge
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Project Manager

Your role with us:

As a Project Manager for Syntakt Packaging Integration, you will manage the overall success of integrations projects by ensuring that the project is delivered within scope (equipment, OEM content, Engineering Services and startup services), on budget, and on schedule throughout the lifecycle to achieve customer satisfaction.

You can proactively identify and resolve issued with order and calm, and manage any changes in project scope, schedule, or costs that may come your way.

You are the most organized person you know.  You can work on multiple concurrent projects at a time thanks to your multi-tasking skills and attention to detail.  You can develop and manage comprehensive schedules, budgets, and other project documentation.

You are a strong communicator.  You can form and maintain strong working relationships with executive management, internal resources, external resources, and the client. As the primary contact for all site activity, you would have the communication skills to successfully manage customer relationships and deescalate challenging situations.

You are driven.  You have the desire to do whatever it takes to get things done. You are proactive and know how to use your resources for a successful outcome.

  • By working alongside our team to keep projects on time and on budget
  • Successfully manage customer relationships from purchase order through commission and validation
  • Effectively manage budgets by setting the original budget, managing the actual cost, ETCs, and variances

 What you will need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, Engineering is a plus
  • 2+ years of Project Management experience
  • Experience in Manufacturing is a plus
  • Working knowledge of project methodologies. PMP certification and/or ongoing PMP education

Senior Design Engineer

Your role with us:

As a Senior Design Engineer you will serve as a principle mechanical engineering resource for Syntakt Packaging Integration throughout the project delivery cycle, to achieve overall success by ensuring that integrated packaging systems are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and provide solutions that achieve customer satisfaction. You will perform concept validation, anticipate and monitor potential delivery, cost, or performance concerns and perform site audits as needed. You will also collaborate with Project Management, Supply Chain, Applications Engineering, contractors, and equipment vendors to manage project changes and implement system standards and enhancements.
